My wife gave her 2 weeks notice last week. She is staying onboard and working for 2 weeks. She has a balance of 30 hrs of PTO. She was informed today she would not be paid for it as the companies handbook states that unused PTO will not be paid after resignation has been submitted. Is this legal? She would rather stay and work and collect the PTO. Thanks in advance for any input.
