Good morning, I have been diagnosed last month with kidney nephrotic syndrome and I'm still awaiting for a follow-up on June with a urologist. I want to get weekends off to rest from work but it seems like work doesn't really care about me that much and want me to work whichever days they want. But I don't want to as it is when I have the most time to let my kidneys rest and because weekend work days are much longer (I'd have to stand up longer).
Until I find a new job I have to stick here, but I was wondering if it's possible to go to my hospital where I was diagnosed with this, and ask for medical documents to officially state that I need to limit my work availability? I did not ask for any doctors notes or anything at the time as back then scheduling was not a problem, but I obviously regret that now.
