I just ended a phone interview after 10 minutes. In that time the the guy interviewing me
1. asked me if I got a job at an Army post because my husband was stationed there?
2. Did I enjoy baking because it allowed me to spend more time with my children?
3. Did I move back to Florida because my relationship didn’t work out?
I don’t know if those questions were illegal but they certainly were inappropriate.
For the record I was active duty AirForce and got selected to a special operations unit on the Army post all by my little self. I have no children and am a widow.
