Boss wants me to do unpaid CPR training.
Essentially they’re claiming bc it’s not a company policy, it’s a state policy that they aren’t required to pay me the time in the training because if I leave the job I can take my CPR card with me.
We have a call with HR tomorrow because I told them I’m unavailable for unpaid work.
This is in Arkansas.
Anyone able to help to clarify if this is legal or if I am wrong.
