Employer requires a “short behavioral assessment ” when applying for a job

I've worked for the same company for 15 years. I've worked my way into a role that deals with customers because quote ” I'm calm and easy to get along with” I'm tired of this role and rarely get raises, even though I ask every year, since I do a good job and what is asked of me. So I applied for a sales job with the same company (more money). I guess I'm short listed because I got a link form HR for a Thompson International Behavioral Assessment. I don't know why but I'm reluctant to do this. Does any body have experience with these? I have a small side business and some savings, I'm thinking of saying fuck it, quit and grow my business.
