Long story short, after I turned 16 I was still being paid a 15 and under rate for my job (fast food) as well as not getting weekend and overtime rates. I did my research and found out what was wrong and approached my manger explaining the issues with him stating he would fix the issue and backpay me.
Fast forward 2 months and I still haven't been paid. Whilst he said it would take some time, it shouldn't take this long. I messaged him recently purely asking if I can get an estimate as to when I would get paid, but he hasn't responded at all. I'm hoping I get the money on my next pay cyle soon but if not I will probably seek action.
I understand he has 2 other businesses, one being a school he “runs” apparently, aswell as the franchise wanting him to get more shift-managers qualified but it still isn't an excuse for not paying me.
And shocker, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!! He has done it to another girl, and thats only who i actually know.
Mostly just wanted to vent but any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm a minor and in Australia NSW if that's any help.
