Antiwork

When I worked as a yard jockey, I was told not to talk about my bonus.

To put it simply, I used to work for a place called American Peanut Growers Group in Georgia (They are now desperately hiring, btw.) And one time during the winter holiday, we had received bonuses for the year. For context, I had just started mid that year and my coworker had been there for years. After my co-worker had found out that we had earned the same amount in bonuses he went and complained to management. Come a day or two later and one of the managers comes out to my vehicle and tells me to not talk about paychecks or bonuses to other workers because it could cause “Unnecessary issues.” Huh, I wonder why.
