First things first, im no native speaker so excuse any mistakes. Im from Europe so im not really in the same boat as most people here that are from the Americas. But i think this movement is one of the most important ones going forward because the main thing we need (besides a thriving wage yadayada) is to change the way certain aspects of work life are discussed.
For example salaries being presented in yearly valies instead of hourly. The yearly perspective is so detached from reality which makes it harder to work with these numbrs in your head. Want you own in a year can change, i mean one day of unpaid leave will be enough to screw that number. But hourly wages give you a clear value for every moment you are at work.
