We all exert so much energy on this sub because we know of a better world that exists.
Building a better world is objectively the most important thing we can do in our lifetimes.
Many don’t agree with our views on here. Namely views on Capitalism and other social constructs. But we’ll keep the focus on ‘Anti-work’.
Imagine the Anti-work battle in the way the media wants us to. Talking about, us versus stereotypical ‘red’ Americans.
When the other side reads ‘Anti-work’, what will they think? This is what I would imagine:
“…hmm let’s see, anti-work. They don’t want to work? Pfft, typical entitlement. Everyone has to work.”
And you know, that statement is logically CORRECT.
Because work is essential to life. You cannot live without work.
Let’s say you truly did want to rid of work in your life. You’ve worked every job in the book and you can’t stand them. You save up and build a farm, to live fully sustainably.
You may have gotten rid of your job, but you still have to work. You tend to the crops, gets eggs from the chickens, milk the cows, etc.
So – I don’t think the tone should be ‘Anti-work’. The ones who don’t understand will instantly assume we are speaking from a place of entitlement. We need to speak their language better.
We need to speak America’s language. The land of the free! You know?
The stereotypical ‘red’ American takes significant pride in the US being a free country. But to be free is to be fair. And this current system is not fair.
In my opinion, we don’t want Anti-work, we just want better work.
