So i started this new job which is 10x better than my old one. Better pay, better hours, closer to home, you name it.
So far i really liked everyone including my managers.
But these last 2 weeks im starting to see why everyone dismisses them. They're just….ughh
The sub manager always speaks in a condescending tone trying to use corporate language but it just comes off as rude. They love gloating how they were in my position for 10 years so they know how things run but when it comes down to helping when were low on staff they are the laziest ive ever seen. They dont understand what “coverage” means
if i still have to do the work on the day or time I was not present your not covering you're holding a space
Today took the cake
We were low on staff so I had to help in another department. my coworker we'll call them Dee was still on the other side doing work there
Sub manager said i would only be on this side for the morning and back to work with Dee in the afternoon since the PM was gonna be really hectic
scratch that Im going over the other side and Dee is taking my place so were swapping so I ask well wait its gonna be hectic on that side in the PM. Sub manager and manager said we are aware.
im like….ok but then whos gonna help me?

Turns out no there wasnt any coverage and not only that apparently me and Dee werent supposed to swapp but there messages literally said we would switch but apparently WE read jt wrong
so Dee had no help on the other side though Dee is used to it but that doesnt make it right
They wanna complain they want communication but dont do that in return
i do not like how they run things
they have nice personalities but shit management
they dont like helping on the floor or when they do they do lile 20% of the total task OR do it wrong
like dang I really liked my old management cuz i could count on them
so to drop to this standard of bare minimum is frustrating
I lowkey wanna bring up the fact they didnt have anyone help Dee but im not sure how to
