Please stop calling people after objects!

One of my pet peeves is when people say the person THAT did such and such. I started to notice this change creep into the English language back when we started tolerating companies calling us “their greatest asset.” Last I checked, I'm a person, at best I can be described as a resource. I am NOT a thing. I am NOT a that. I am a WHO. Will you help me push back and remind employers that we are not objects to be bought and sold?
