It is not normal or acceptable for an employer to discipline you

You are an adult. If there's something they dont like about your performance they can ask you to change it. If you cant or wont change it they can either live with it or fire you. Subjugating yourself to petty tyrants takes a toll on your mental health; stand up to them and demand to be treated with the respect due an adult and professional.
