So, I started this new job which I overall like But there problem I find with the company is that they find certain way too save money and expect workers too flip the bill. (Note: I am Australian)
Example, I work outside in the bush, where we get heavy affected by rain and so it's best if we have rain gear, even for working after it has gone past. The problem is that they won't supply rain gear and expect it too buy it, saying “you can get it back on tax”.
The real issue is that very good rain gear that protects you, is expensive as hell and we get paid well but not everyone is life of privlage so they can spend 200 bucks and wait so many months too get it back on tax.
The company even expects supervisor too pay for dumping green waste at waste dumps, with similar “you can get it back on tax, which I find highly problematic, as it should come under companies Jon too pay and that as before, not every one has that privlage.
What's worse I find is that, in at lease my industry, it such more of the norm, that so many people just except and don't push back, even giving companies excuse for that practice.
