Lied to about being able to WFH

Has anyone else started a job that they were told during the interview process would be a hybrid position, then started and found out that wasn’t the case? I was told my position would be hybrid and I’d be able to flexibly work from home. I was told my position would be hybrid and I’d be able to flexibly work from home. When I started, my boss wanted me in the office for a couple months just at first and then we could “discuss how a hybrid model would work for our team” – even though she works from home whenever she wants but I’m still expected at the office.

I’ve been in my position for 5 months now, and I asked about it again today to be told it won’t be happening anyyyyytime soon. She wants me and my team to be visible and present for higher ups to come chat with, and for us to collaborate with each other. Also, we have an intern starting in the summer we need to be in the office for to support.

I’m allowed to work from home if I get special permission – ie if I have a doctors appointment in the middle of the day or something – but this is not what I signed up for. I feel lied to and I’m starting to look for another job.
