So my fiance and I went to Staffinders in February looking for a job. It was supposed to a contract for a sanitation job at Nickles Bakery. The contract was for 4-6 months, $20 an hour, Mon-Fri and we were not able to be put on the production line when needed. Then all of a sudden yesterday they gave a new schedule and we were set to be on production from Saturday until next Thursday. Meaning we wouldn't get our weekend off, they broke contract, and production workers make $15 an hour so that's what we would make this next week.
I called Staffinders and I was told that there's nothing he's going to do about it and they completely fucked us over. So you know what? We're not going in. That's not in our contract and I'm not doing it. We have to drive a half hour and our car guzzles gas. We're spending $65 on gas every two and a half days. We would just be losing money.
My fiance was talking about sueing but I feel like that's a lost cause. We've already got a game plan to work at another factory and we won't be struggling with money until we get hired so we don't need this job.
