For those who’ve worked their way around retail:

Would you consider a company who doesn’t hire ASMs (assistant store managers) for their retail location to be a red flag? For example, they hire a store manager & 6 store specialists but they don’t offer any inbetween position to help you transition into management. The industry is wireless/ communications. This struck me as odd, since I’ve worked in wireless for over 5 years & every company I’ve been at has had ASMs, but I’m not sure if this is the new normal??
