After a year of non-stop overtime and not having more than one day off in a row in that timespan, I've saved up enough money to take the entire summer off and still have a cushy savings.
Basically my boss, instead of hiring someone else to fill an empty position, just pushed off all the extra work on me without the extra pay. And now he has explicitly asked me to go back and forth between two different jobs during the same shift. I told him no but it wasn't really a question by his tone of voice. The likelihood that they will find someone else who is as hardworking, reliable, and competent as I am is pretty much zero, and they'll realize that soon enough when they have to hire two people to replace me.
Find someone else to take advantage of, suckers, I'm taking my money and running!
