Hey Reddit community, I could use some advice here. Almost two weeks ago, I submitted my two weeks' notice, and tomorrow is meant to be my last day at work.
However, things took an unexpected turn when I was verbally informed yesterday that they want me to stay for an additional three weeks. They mentioned it would be with increased pay, but I'm still waiting for a formal offer.
My priority is to avoid burning bridges, as I would like to have a good reference in the future although I’m returning to university to pursue a career change in an unrelated field.
The challenge is that I haven't received any formal offer yet, and when I tried to get an update, I was told that all the HRBP are currently out of office.
What would you do in this situation? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
