So, I started an unpaid internship to get my degree as 3Dd Generalist person. It was a startup focused on luxury furniture, and I was supposed to do both coding (I studied Computer science) and 3D.
It was an internship of 4 months, completely unpaid, where together with the two other trainee I had to create models for the clients and work on a virtual Showroom.
The designer who was training us didn't know a thing about 3D. He mad mistakes a newbie makes, which is why I and the others had to completely make from scratch all the models he did wrong during these 2 years.
We had 3 months to make a hundreds of 3D models again.
But we endured it, because the boss promised us to hire all 3 of us after the internship.
And I was so happy because boss man was saying I wass making such a good job!
At the 4th month that's when stuff happens.
When one of the boys ruined something, the boss distracted me to my work to tell me to clean up because “you're a woman, you do it better”.
He made me work for another month, unpaid, telling me he needed time to make the contract. But he needed me to keep working on the main project so that he could show it to the clients…
The 6th month, he fakes my signature to make me start a new internship 🤡
And tells me that he is going to pay me “500 EU so that you can afford a pretty new bag every now and then”.
He did not even give me the chance to refuse or accept it. He started it on its own.
I decided to quit, because there was no way. I could afford rent with this…..
I feel so demotivated
