Years ago I was working at Panera, never finished college and wanted to get into IT as a career path. I told my boss that I needed to have Tuesday’s off to take classes at the local community college. She straight up just laughs at me to my face and says “you’re not going to take classes” and shuts the door to the office. I had come in early, came in on days off, worked overtime and this is when I realized that she really didn’t care. I put in my two weeks the very next day.
Jokes on her though cause last time I checked she’s still managing that Panera, and I’m managing an IT team.
