Just over in r/recruitmenthell and it looks like the jobs market is going increasingly insane. Apparently if you're not charismatic or young, you will be denied a job by your typical HR drone. Ageism is a terrifying prospect and it's quite easy to be let go from a job nowadays. The constant comparisons between job interviews and dating signify just how insane the culture of work and employment is. Therefore, I was wondering, why the fuck would anyone bother with this bullshit anymore? Let the drones have their utterly nonsensical merry go round. However, it would seem alternatives to the corporate prison are few and far between compared to the 80s and 90s.
