I remember just 5 years ago I paid 6k to New York Times to be a part of the internship program.
During my summer holiday , I got $17 from my internship with the New York Times , my days started at 6 am & ended at midnight , that made me feel quiet disappointed.
Yeah , I didn't think much of it at the time , but how absurd was it that student-interns paid full-time tuition to “gain experience” , and were treated like running dogs…
To be honest , my internships in New York Times consisted of meaningless tasks that in no way contributed to my skill set as well .One day , my supervisor sent me to get water . I got it and he said “sorry , I forget to tell you I don't take cold water” , I had to return it to get another one.
That's how my last New York Times ' experience was . I guess I've learned my lesson.
