For context, I had a short stint as an asistant manager in a long term care home in Ottawa Ontario. It was in the recreation department and a contract.
I was having a great experience then I get notice of a lay off this week. I was shocked because I had good feedback from everyone. The reason budget cuts.
Aside from getting EI any other tips?
Is calling in sick the way? Is using personsl days the way?
Mentally this week has been stressful and taxing.
I am glad I went on holiday before hand but, I think it will be tough to bounce back this time. The job market is wild at the moment.
