Recently California legislators and Governor Gavin Newsom made a big show of passing AB701. Making a point of how much they care about Warehouse workers and reducing injuries and unsafe work conditions they work in.
However California worker compensation law allows for these same employers to operate their warehouses in a state of “neglects excluding gross neglects”. While still allowing the workers compensation liability limit to stay in affect.
