Every day I see this sub in my feed and it’s just abuse after abuse from employers. I see all the negativity, but I don’t see much of the brighter side anywhere. I know a lot of us have and do share the same sentiment. But it’s just getting harder to wait for something to happen.
Right now I go to college full time, while trying to work a full time job. In the mean time I do door dash and I still can’t afford to eat tonight. I literally have to choose to spend the money I have to put gas in my car to deliver other people food. And I just do this for hours, delivering food, knowing I won’t be able to eat. Praying someone cancels their order after I get the food.
None of this would be my reality if we were simply paid a living wage. People should not have to do this. I just want basic things. Shelter, a meal to eat. Yet this is not accessible to me. I don’t know why I’m writing this. I hope things get better. I’m losing the will to try, or even hope
