Seeking guidance and advice on starting a union at my job.

I know the point of this sub is to abolish work but I didn't want to post this on the spinoff sub since it's full of liberal chuds who think cops are workers. ANYWAY, I work at a small medical center. Less than 50 employees. Most are clinical (nurses and techs) and some are clerical (receptionists and such). We were pissed but we still had more than most so we all just accepted it. Just before the new year, management attempted to bring us down to 1 week PTO and 1 week SICK but there was a lot of resistance from the recent new hires since they accepted the job on the basis of the benefits. Management folded and let us keep what we had.

I know in my bones that they will try this again. I've looked in to starting a union through UFCW.org but the whole process seems a bit confusing.

Can anyone share tips and suggestions on where to start and how the process will likely play out?

Thank you.
