So, I work at a popular grocery store, Trader Joe's. Every morning before we open there is a “huddle” ita mostly just stuff like reminders to rotate stuff, new products whatever.
But this morning The Manager had a dew sentences about how we shouldn't talk about wages. I went up to him after and showed him the labor boards stuff and told him that he really cant tell us that.
About 20 minutes later folks start getting pulled into the back room for another huddle. The Manager was taking the time to walk it back, and let us all know we are 100% free to talk about our wages!
Glad I spoke up this morning. Not a bid deal, but now this guy knows better, and none of our other crew members will have to hear about it.
