Walked out of an interview because they were so impersonal.

I just moved to new state in the US and I'm applying for jobs. Great news is that I got 2 calls for interviews on Monday and I set up interview for today. The first interview was amazing and everything I wanted. I met the owner and he was so nice and cared about his workers. Very genuine and honest, also had a great benefits package. This one was only 11 minutes away from my apartment. The second interview I did not even get to actually complete because of the difference in greeting. The person who greeted me didn't say hello, or how are you. Just told me to sit anywhere and handed me a piece of paper to fill out. They wanted to do a working interview from 1-4 pm. I have never done that and always thought if you believe in me and have my resume you do…

I have never done that and always thought if you believe in me and have my resume you do not need a working interview from me. I went anyway to show face and to just be given a piece of paper to fill out my work experience. If you have my resume I shouldn't be filling this paper out. It's just stupid to me. I stopped filling out the paperwork after thinking about it for a few minutes. I gave the lady back her clipboard and paperwork and I said, “Thank you but I will not be doing the interview.” She was very taken back and said “Ok”. I walked out and never looked back.

I called the other place and let them know that I am extremely interested with working for them instead. I start my new job on Monday and I couldn't be more happy. The place I chose had great people and is a growing company. Much better than working for an artist who doesn't even make the art they design. Like that's disrespectful to an artist who has experience in every material he “works” with and has done every step for that art to get to be called finished. I will say John Pomp Studios is just dumb to think that they are going to get some free labor out of me by calling it a working interview.
