Greetings, I'm Just looking for a work definition/term, I cant seem to remember what its called.
here is an example: You have 3 employees but 1 leaves, and you just expect the 2 remaining employees to pick up the extra work for no extra pay or benefits?
The American's formalised its name, it had something to do with cotton mills, and the labour movement?
Edit: I remember reading an article where Cotton mills in the south of the US would hire like 100 employees then keep firing people untill they had only the people who needed to stay and could be exploited.
Edit: its not pick up the slack, there was a specific legal term the unions used when they put their demands to management.
