Bit of a rant. I’m just tired.
They tell you, work hard through university, get a good GPA and get a good career. Well that’s long done and been in said career for 9 years now. Well now you gotta get more certifications and more schooling in the evenings to even advance yourself in your career.
I feel like it’s a never ending cycle. I’m completely burnt out. Work all day, then in the evenings take courses and classes for certifications to further yourself in your career. It’s impossible now with the cost of living increases to even think about remaining stagnant. There’s nothing wrong with that, but now it’s not even an option. This is now a means of survival to attempt to move up in your career so you can actually make a bit more money to be a little more comfortable. It’s exhausting. I’m tired. I need a vacation from this hamster wheel.
