Hi guys, really don't know what to do. My apologies in advance for my grammar, but English is not my main language.
England here, got a customer job on the phone and it took 6 months to get it. During this months of course I have encountered tons of scams, rejections, I've been ghosted,I've performed behavioural useless tests, you all know..
I am from the south of Europe and I've been traveling and working abroad since 2013. I have 9 years of experience in customer service, call centre. Sadly my country doesn't offer so much and I've entered this tunnel of call centre and I've been not able to find anything else. It's ok, I should have thought and known better when I finished my high school. I needed a job, I wanted to be indipendent but today I'm not able to find anything else.
Back to the job, applied, aced the interview, got the call, I'm hired and already signed the contract and have a starting date. As a foreigner in UK now I need to prove my right to work and passport and a proof of address.
Done. They checked my criminal record, credit score.. all good. References checked as well. An ex manager confirmed my last position and job.
Now they are asking me, since I've lived abroad, further checks.
Now. I left my country in 2011, I finished my high school in 2006. They are asking me the address, email address and telephone number of someone working on the school and I can't find anyone. It was 16 years ago! Before I left the country I got a certified document from the school and that's all I got. It states the date and score. I have no idea of what schools are providing today.
I've checked online and honestly don't know which one is my school. Now there are 3 with the same name, none at the old address, it was an artistic school and I have attended the evening courses.
What to do?I've spoke past with HR and He told me she was going to ask to stop for this check as the job itself doesn't require degree or university, but the third part company is pressuring me as they want answers.
HR confirmed my starting date but I'm stressing a lot.
It took me so long for this job. I need it. Have bills to pay and finished all my saving.
Job is customer service on the phone, the third part company is called Experian.
I am afraid that I'm not going to pass this checks and lose the job.
I can understand going back and checks my reference for the last 5/7 years but something that happened in 2006? We are in 2022!
