The vote to confirm David Weil as head of the Labor Department's Wage and Hour division just failed thanks to the entirety of the GOP and 3 democrat senators.
So I actually work as a researcher at the school David is the dean of. The entire schtick of this guy is to stop major employers/corporations from committing wage theft by abusing their employees with shady overtime rules.
This is fucking disgusting and I feel sick. Not sure if this was posted already but wanted to let everyone know.
