“You Came In So Clearly You’re Not Feeling That Bad”

Said to me after I begrudgingly came to work after a migraine that last literally the entire night, to the point that I got maybe an hour and a half of sleep, because my supervisor needed me to cover another receptionist. When I told her I didn't appreciate the implication that I'd been lying or trying to get out of coming to work, she tried to spin it as a “you just don't give yourself enough credit, you're capable of so much more than you think!” I still have 15 months of my GI bill left, and I just got a huge increase in my disability payments because of my migraines. Seriously considering quiting and focusing exclusively on school so that I can be a paralegal like I've wanted to be for years
