I do my work, I work late, I work diligently, I’m constantly communicating with my supervisor, I ask questions I take notes. I’m available whenever, and my manager never speaks to me.
Well, this morning she asked me to work on a project that what I thought would be quick actually took me all day to do. At 5 pm I get a call from the recruiter saying tomorrow would be my last day. When I asked what happened “it’s just not working out. She was very vague and what little she did provide me for reasoning seemed little and I didn’t agree with her decision at all”
And just like that- unemployed. We are expected to give two weeks, they don’t even give two hours.
I’m completely shocked, there was never a timeline of expectations of me, there was never a reported problem or any issues on my work. I was literally completely blindsided.. what was a 6 month contract ended in 3 weeks. Wtf.
