My friend was on start up probation nearing the end.
Boss: “You're not performing as well as your peers. Increase performance or we may have to let you go at the end of your probation”
Friend: “I've been here 2 months; they've been here 3-6 years”
Boss: “Doesn't matter. Same pay band”
So my friend, now with stress of losing his job, figured there was no way he could make the boss happy, so he found a new job. He gave his notice and the boss brought him into a 5pm meeting that went to 7:30 pm (at the office).
Boss: “Why you do this? Now I have to train someone new”
Friend: “????”
