UK vs US

I've noticed on this sub alot of people are from the US and living in the UK I can't fully relate to some of the posts because fortunately the UK has (mostly) decent employment laws and workers rights. One things I've noticed though, and the reason I started writing this post. I've seen target employees can get upwards of $20P/H and SOME people seem to struggle living off of any less. $20 is roughly £16 which is a semi decent wage here. For perspective I work at amazon and my supervisors will earn £14.50 an hour contracted for 40 hours per week, minimum wage for someone my age is £8.21 (about $10.70). We pay around 20% tax and that goes to our health care and allegedly to other things and then gas, electric and water can be upwards of £250 PM + rent, shopping etc. Long question short…. Is US…

Long question short…. Is US healthcare and insurance the biggest killer when it comes to living? What about gas, electric and water?
