I work(ed) at Stripes (southern 7/11, same company).
My boss called me 3 times this morning at 6am and then a text asking me to come in early (3 hours before my shift, and about 2 1/2 hours before i woke up) so I honestly thought he was angry about that when I arrived . But no he fired me for talking about pay.
I only worked there a week and here in Texas I don’t qualify for unemployment, but do I still qualify for final pay within 6 days?
Or anything else that could help?
Edit: He started the conversation by saying “what did I tell you when I hired you?” “Don’t talk about pay” I asked for clarity that I was being fired for discussing pay and he agreed but it’s kind of all for nought because he refused to put it in writing.
