Got baited in by being told by the recruiter that they would pay off my student loans (even tho he knew I wouldn't be in long enough to recieve that benefit.) Signed a six year contract w air force. Regretted it ever since and been in for almost 4 years.
Going in everyday with my only motivation being to “make it to the end of my contract” has been hell. The straw that broke the camels back for me was how when I couldn't fucking do it anymore and got myself in trouble they put me on basically 21 days of unpaid slave labor.
Didn't think that they acrually did that, or that anyone with a soul would actually use that type of punishment. Cruel, unusual, and entirely unnecessary.
