I am going to be traveling to VERY remote areas this summer and curious how I should negotiate pay during these week long trips. (I am hourly)
There will be nothing to do on in these areas outside of work. It's literally the wilderness besides bunking areas.
I will be quitting if they only compensate me for the normal 40hrs, being that I will be stuck in an area for a week each trip with nothing to do after normal working hours.
What is the usual pay for this? Paid the second I step on the plane until the second I get back, minus 8 hrs of sleep? Do most people only get paid for 40hrs? 40hrs of 1.5x pay?
