One of our members posted this infamous Applebee's email from executive Wayne Pankratz here and on Twitter. At first Applebee's tried to just distance themselves and say it was his opinion, not theirs. But now they've finally fired this disgusting example of a bootlicking corporate executive!!
All too often we post complaints about these companies but we don't actually name the company or the manager…this proves that we should!!! We shouldn't fear retaliation from these thugs anymore, they should fear us!!
I'm so proud of antiwork! Thanks to all of you for helping to show a path forward for everyone else. This seems like one small victory, but it matters and if we continue then it will be the first of many.
Besides, I never liked eating at Applebee's anyways 🤠. Overpriced cafeteria food
Edit..and just so y'all know, Wayne Pankratz was fighting to make this go away. He deleted his LinkedIn and I think his social media, so he was hoping he could wait for this to blow over so he could continue to stand on the shoulders of everyone below him. He failed. No more 6 figures for him at least for awhile, hopefully he's learning what his underpaid employees feel like. Hopefully other managers like him are waking up and paying attention.
