i gave away a ton of free stuff my last day

at the age of 17 i applied and got hired at an american eagle near me. from the beginning it was horrible . i was part time and a minor working a full time schedule. they’d only give me 30 minute breaks when i’d work 8+ hours and lie about it. the worst part was we’d leave for closing at 12 fucking am a lot when most of the workers were minors in SCHOOL. and they legally weren’t allowed to do any of this. they were doing this to all the minors working there. everyone i got hired with soon quit . i finally realized i needed to find a better job when a new associate told me they were getting paid $11 an hour while i was only getting $9. we both did the same amount of work, had the same experience, and were working part time. the only…


at the age of 17 i applied and got hired at an american eagle near me. from the beginning it was horrible . i was part time and a minor working a full time schedule. they’d only give me 30 minute breaks when i’d work 8+ hours and lie about it. the worst part was we’d leave for closing at 12 fucking am a lot when most of the workers were minors in SCHOOL. and they legally weren’t allowed to do any of this. they were doing this to all the minors working there. everyone i got hired with soon quit . i finally realized i needed to find a better job when a new associate told me they were getting paid $11 an hour while i was only getting $9. we both did the same amount of work, had the same experience, and were working part time. the only difference is that he was a man and in his 20’s. i was furious and the next day put in my two weeks. i only made to day 4 and told my manger i wouldn’t be able to finished the two weeks. on my last day they scheduled me for a 8 hour shift and no 1 hour break……again. near the middle of my shift i was cashier and decided “fuck it” and started giving away free/heavily discounted items. i would take 30-60% off on a every other customers total that would be serviced at my register. near the end of my shift i started giving away free jeans . i took a risk and even let the customers know and of course they heavily thanked me. and mind you american eagle jeans are $50 -80 if not on clearance. my shift came to an end and i felt so satisfied. i clocked out and never looked back ! it’s been 2 years since then .
