Getting interview invitations for jobs I’m not qualified for and then getting rejected for not being qualified for them

I've been having this happen over the past few months as I'm looking around for a new job. Whether it's on Indeed, LinkedIn, or other job sites, I have clearly listed my previous jobs, certifications, and perspective employers can see where my skills lie (IT focused). I receive the email notifications that an employer is interested in me to apply for an open position. I can see in the job notice that I am not qualified for the position, but I'll apply because fuck it, you all reached out to me. I apply and then I receive an email or message back a few days later saying that I do not posses the qualifications for the position I applied for. ​ The job that they invited me to apply for. ​ Has this been happening to people a lot? Has this been happening to people a lot? I'm not sure what the point of doing this is. Like, if you can see that I'm not a good fit for your position, why invite me to apply for it, if you're just going to reject me? Is this some kind of new power play? I'm just confused af.
