I work as a FT F&B cashier in a hotel and was told by my manager the other day (3/31) that for the entire month of March my cash amount (cash I deposit in cash machine end of each shift) was over $40 and may get written up for being over $25.
When I transferred to be a F&B cashier, after taking the cashier test, then signed this paper that if over or under $25 you'll get disciplinary action or removal from position after 2nd time going over or under $25.
I find being over $25 ($40 in total was what I had that month) seems unfair or absurd, is there anything I could do to refuse to sign this write up, just sign it and discuss my concerns? It's fine if I was short $25+ for a month, but being over is definitely ridiculous.
