I was hired from an advertisement that said part time work. I asked for three days a week because the shifts are twelve hours so that would put me on 36 hours a week. I explained that I have a disabled husband and mother I need to take care of at home. Now a year later I'm work four days a week and they call me every week to work my days off. I say no but I looked it up and in Florida where I live they can force you to work everyday as many hours as they want as long as they pay me overtime which they do or else they can legally fire me for disagreeing. I love my job and I'd work there forever but they are going to burn me out and I'm going to end up quiting. I don't understand why they don't just let me work the 36 hours I asked for and be a great worker forever and instead they work you to death and lose you after a short time?
