I’ve come to realize that idiot managers don’t truly understand OPPORTUNITY COST.

The cost of what didn't happen never appears on the profit & loss statement. Seasoned employees who leave and so business doesn't get done, profits not made, plus the costs of hiring, training, and not being up to speed…. These costs in my industry are HUGE. Like, $300-500k minimum. It is SO much cheaper to just treat people nicely, to resource them, to serve them. Plus, the workplace is just way happier! Why is this so hard to get through some skulls?! (Rhetorical question. I know why.)
