SOS “merit” discussion

So I actually enjoy my current workplace, team, and job, aside from the fact that I was furloughed in December and then brought back at a measly 20/hr week. That doesn’t pay bills. So anyways, point of the story is after my shift yesterday my top supervisor tried calling me but I turn off all my equipment after work and missed it. When I log in this morning I see a message from her saying to give her a call when I have a chance so we can review my merit. I’m freaking out. I may have stepped away from my desk for a bit longer than usual/acceptable yesterday due to some personal things.
On the other hand, I’m reaching my one year mark and maybe this is just a yearly review?
But why would she call me when my status shows out of office, and why not send a formal email/calendar invite?
Has anyone had a situation where they were basically called in by (not my direct supervisor but her) supervisor to review “merit” on a whim? Any tips for what to expect and prepare for?
