Working semi-remote

Title says all. I am getting tired of driving to work. I do not see the point in working in the field I am in when I can do something else closer to home. Most of the older generations will tell you to man up and stick with it, but I would feel more sane and happier working from home or semi close to where I do not have to drive, and simply walk. You lose money the second you walk out your doors and take risk on the road. My vehicle is old, and I cannot afford something more up to date. Something woke up in me and is telling me to pull away and stick close to home, as I live minimal anyway. Boomers and early Gen X, are you listening? This way of thinking of yours is in the past.
