I work in education, and my center is really good and quality. I love my coworkers and my boss, I love the kids here.
I've recently developed some physical problems and I'm filing for a short leave of absence, but my pay isn't guaranteed. I have bills to pay, a mortgage with several roommates, and lately my paychecks have been dismal because I can't work a lot right now. If I quit, I'll lose my insurance and the ability to go to my doctor too. I get paid a dollar or two above minimum, and as I said, I love my job, but the pay is so dismal I can barely make ends meet with rising costs and my medical expenses.
I have BA and an AAS both in different fields, but my heart is with my current job. I know I'll be unhappy if I go back to an office job. I don't know what to do, and I'm very stressed about my finances. I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
