I work in a state in which marijuana is medically (only) legal and I work in one of the grow warehouses in trim. Today we have a strain that has traces of mold; you crack open a dense nug and it might have fuzzy bits, or a bunch of spores will puff out. I was informed of this as I was beginning my batch and kind of freaked out. My coworkers and lead said they've been doing this forever and any complaints are ignored. I went to my manager and HR and I feel like I was given the runaround… they do test the batches twice but even trace amounts are allowed. “it's not black mold.” “Cheese has mold” and like other dumb shit just to get me to shut up. I have a small background in the medical field but also a quick Google search tells you that mold is NEVER ok to ingest. A few days ago I also bought one of the strains that had tested for mold, unknowingly, and I've been experiencing mild chest pain and haven't been able to pinpoint it. Maybe I'm being dramatic thinking it's mold, but I've been a weed smoker for years now and never had this problem. What do you guys think, is my company being greedy and selling bad shit or am I overreacting?
