I just left my job after I was bullied relentless and had 0 work life balance and 0 career progression for average pay. Sadly a close family member also just died but this means I’m likely coming into a bit of money, probably enough to retrain and seriously consider a massive career change.
My question is, are there any careers that can give you a happy life? I just want as much work life balance as possible (time and headspace to do my hobbies and travel and see my family) and also a workplace where I don’t feel suicidal going in. Preferably where I’m not chained to a desk and not bullied. Maybe a creative industry or anything really? I’m seriously open to any options right now.
But does a good career exist? Are my expectations too high? What jobs do y’all do and do they make you happy at all?
